Port Vale Football Club is at a crossroads in its history.
The next few months will be pivotal in its long-term future given that it seems that there are a number of prospective buyers of the Club.
The long-term success of the club will not be based on what should or could have happened in the recent past; it will be governed by the decisions made by its Directors and shareholders but most importantly by what YOU want as fans.
A number of fans have decided to form a group whose sole aim is to promote openness in the discussions about potential new investment and, quite crucially, work toward Port Vale having new owners. We recognise that every fan will have an opinion on what should now happen in the Club’s Boardroom and our aim is not to create diversion, aggression or negativity at such an important time. We do however believe that the promises made by the current administration in regard to the V2001 charter have largely been unfulfilled and it is with this in mind that our aims are to:
Enable fans of the Club to have access to information about potential investment
Make the current Board accountable for any decisions they make about such investment
Continue a disciplined and orderly form of protest until the Club is under new ownership
